As part of the 8th year anniversary celebration of the Sister to Sister International Organization which took place in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, founder and president, and APC National Women Leader, Dr. Mrs Mary Alile accompanied by her husband, Hon. Pius Alile and others, paid a courtesy visit to the governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Ayedatiwa, in Government House on Saturday 7th September 2024.
A very delighted Governor Ayedatiwa paid glowing tribute to Dr. Mrs Mary Alile for her efforts towards the promotion of women in diverse offices and ways. He commended her charitable disposition as well as her indefatigable spirit. Governor Ayedatiwa expressed his appreciation on behalf of the people of Ondo State for the founder of Sister to Sister Organization choosing Ondo State as the venue of the 8th year anniversary of such a global organisation.
In her address, Dr. Mrs Mary Alile commended the Ondo State Governor for taking the interest of women as a priority in his administration, citing the appointment of over 100 female Senior Special Assistants. She said that she was specially pleased with the governor for this development as it aligns with her vision as President of Sister to Sister and APC National Women Leader. She expressed her resolve to continue her contribution to the empowerment of women and the girl child in Ondo State while recalling her appointment of Special Assistants for Election mobilization for the forthcoming Ondo State Governorship Election.
