by Tunexreporters

The Federal Government has facilitated the release of 100 pupils kidnapped from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

The development, reported Sunday by TVC News and Channels Television, comes as the federal authorities have not yet issued an official confirmation.

The attack occurred on November 21, when armed men invaded the remote community at about 2 am, arriving on motorbikes and operating for nearly three hours. A total of 315 individuals were seized—303 students and 12 teachers.

Within the first day, around 50 pupils escaped and were reunited with their families, reducing the number of those held captive to 265.

More updates are expected as the situation unfolds.
