APC Muslim Forum Pays Familiarisation Visit to Edo Governor’s Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs

The leadership of the APC Muslim Forum, Edo State, paid a familiarisation and congratulatory visit to the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Islamic Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Musa Momoh, to felicitate him on his well-deserved appointment by His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the APC Muslim Forum, Alhaji Farouk Omogbai, described the Forum as a formidable umbrella body for Muslims across Edo State. He emphasised that the organisation comprises members from all ethnic groups, including the Benin, Yoruba, Esan, Afemai, Etsako, Arewa and other Muslim communities in the state.

According to him, the Forum’s primary mission is to mobilise and galvanise Muslim voters across the three senatorial districts in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He noted that the APC Muslim Forum has functional structures at the state, local government and ward levels, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the ideals and programmes of the APC-led administration.

Alhaji Omogbai further assured the Special Adviser of the Forum’s continuous support for the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, stressing that the Muslim community remains committed to promoting unity, peace, good governance and the successful implementation of the Governor’s SHINE Agenda.

In his response, Hon. Ahmed Musa Momoh expressed profound appreciation to the APC Muslim Forum for the visit and congratulatory gesture. He commended the Forum for its steadfast support for the party and pledged to work closely with all Muslim stakeholders to advance the welfare of the Ummah in Edo State.

He stated that the administration of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has demonstrated genuine commitment to the progress and inclusion of the Muslim community while delivering people-oriented infrastructural development across the state in line with the SHINE Agenda. He urged Muslims to remain united, steadfast in faith, and continue offering prayers for the peace, unity and prosperity of Edo State and Nigeria.

A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of a commemorative framed plaque to the Special Adviser in recognition of his appointment and service to the Muslim community. Special prayers were also offered for Almighty Allah’s guidance, protection and wisdom upon Governor Monday Okpebholo, the APC leadership, the APC Muslim Forum, and the continued peace, progress and prosperity of Edo State.
