Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed his personal football favourites, making it clear that he has no interest in the endless debate over whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player of all time.
In a recent interview with ESPN, the Afrobeats superstar named former Super Eagles captain Austin “Jay Jay” Okocha as the greatest footballer in history. According to Burna Boy, the debate is between Okocha and Brazilian legend Pele, insisting he has no desire to compare Messi and Ronaldo.
The singer also described England captain Harry Kane as his favourite striker of all time. He reaffirmed his loyalty to Manchester United as the club he supports, while identifying Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal as the most exciting young footballer in the world.
Burna Boy further singled out Kobbie Mainoo as his favourite current Manchester United player, highlighting the young midfielder’s talent and importance to the club.
