The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Edo State Government, Hon. Pius Idele Alile, has congratulated the newly elected Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Hon. Osaro Eribo, as well as all newly elected APC Local Government Chairmen and the 192 councillors across the three senatorial districts of Edo State.
Hon. Alile described their victories as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the people of Edo State. He expressed appreciation to the electorate for their peaceful participation and commended security agencies, the electoral officials, party leaders, and stakeholders for ensuring a credible, orderly, and peaceful electoral process.
He urged the newly elected Chairmen and Councillors to see their victory as a call to selfless service and to remain committed to providing the dividends of democracy at the grassroots. According to him, the expectations of the people are high, and the new local government leaders must justify the confidence placed in them through transparent, accountable, and people-oriented governance.
Hon. Alile further charged the elected officials to align their administration with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the transformative SHINE Agenda of the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, in order to accelerate development, improve service delivery, and enhance the welfare of the people.
He prayed that Almighty God grants them wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance as they assume the responsibility of leading their respective local government councils.
