The drugs were on their way to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Cyprus. The agency’s officers discovered 1.1 kilograms of cocaine in 30 parcels disguised as hair cream containers at a logistics company. This happened during a routine check of packages headed to Ireland on September 3rd, 2024.
The statement mentioned that on Friday, September 6th, another 24 packages of cocaine, weighing 862 grams and hidden in hair cream containers for delivery in the UK, were found by the same company.
Additionally, on Tuesday, September 3rd, a total of 525 pills of tramadol 225mg and ecstasy (MDMA) hidden in ladies’ sanitary pads bound for Cyprus were discovered at a different courier company in Lagos. Furthermore, on Wednesday, September 4th, operatives intercepted a shipment of 200 ampoules of promethazine injection and pentazocine injection concealed in food items and herbs intended for London, UK.
