The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, Hon. Pius Alile, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Edo State and across Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, Hon. Alile congratulated the Muslim Ummah for witnessing yet another Eid-el-Kabir, describing the festival as a time of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and renewal of faith.
He called on Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), whose obedience, devotion, and willingness to make personal sacrifices remain the cornerstone of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
“Eid-el-Kabir is not just a celebration but a powerful reminder of faith, obedience to God, and the spirit of sacrifice. I urge all Muslims to live out these values in their daily lives and continue to be models of integrity and unity in their communities,” Hon. Alile said.
He also charged the Muslim faithful to remember the leadership of Edo State in their prayers, especially the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, as they continue to work for the growth and prosperity of the state.
“I appeal to all Muslims to pray for the success of our leaders and for continued peace and development in Edo State and Nigeria at large,” he added.
Hon. Alile wished all Muslims a peaceful and joyous celebration, praying that the occasion brings renewed hope, spiritual strength, and enduring unity among all citizens.
