The Federal Government has announced that Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, will be designated as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
This information was shared by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released on behalf of the Federal Government on Monday.
The minister extended congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world for the occasion and encouraged the community to exemplify the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith as taught by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
Tunji-Ojo also urged Nigerians to take advantage of the Eid festivities to pray for the country’s peace, unity, and prosperity.
He reassured citizens that the people-oriented reforms and initiatives aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aim to guide Nigeria back to progress.
While wishing the Muslim community a joyful Eid-ul-Adha, the minister called on all Nigerians to support the current administration’s efforts to restore Nigeria’s greatness, as stated in the announcement.
