As the gale of defection continues to blow in the direction of APC all over the country, Ward 7, Egor Local Government Chapter received its share of new arrivals from other political parties on Friday 25th April.
Notable figures among the horde of decampees were Dr. Thompson Osadolor, an entrepreneur and former Governorship Candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, and Mr. Palmer O’Ray, a PDP leader.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders of the ward, Hon. Pius Alile, Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, assured the decampees of their welcome to the APC and that, as is the tradition of the party, they will be treated equally with other members they have come to join. He said that the party was happy that very important members of the opposition parties have begun to see the giant strides ot the Governor Monday Okpebholo Government in Edo State and have decided to join the party so as to make their contributions. He said that they will not be disappointed as the Governor is committed to taking care of the welfare of members of the party as well as that of the general populace.
Speaking on behalf of the the new members of the APC, Dr. Thompson Osadolor said that the most reasonable thing for any serious politician to do at the moment is to join the APC in order to be part of the revolutionary governance taking place at the state and federal levels.
Among the leaders in attendance were Mr. Felix Ero, foremost leader, Engr. Kingsley Ogieva, ward chairman, Mr. Osadolor Omoregie ( aka: Dollar Bill), Hon. Cedric Edogun, Mr. Collins Okonofua, Mr. Omorose Osaigbovo and all members of the ward executive committee.
