•Hon. Pius Alile tells Sister to Sister Delegation on Felicitation Visit
By Nosa Omorodion
Hon. Pius Alile says that persons that should be gifted items of empowerment are those deserving of them. He made this statement when a delegation of a gender sensitive charitable organisation, Sister to Sister International, led by its regional coordinator, South South, Mrs Rachael Edoba, visited him in his office to felicitate with him on his recent appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor.
The Deputy Chief of Staff gave this opinion while informing the leadership of the group of his forthcoming annual empowerment programme which will be held in the first quarter of 2025. Items for the Hon. Pius Alile Empowerment Programme for 2025, include a number of tricycles and motorcycles, which are intended for urban transportation business and rural farming.
According to Hon. Pius Alile, a donor is only assured of the blessing from his benevolence if his gifts are given to those who truly are mostly in need of them. He emphasized that he has, therefore, decided to carefully select beneficiaries on the basis of being less economically or operationally disadvantaged.
In her remarks, the regional coordinator of Sister to Sister, Mrs Rachael Edoba, said that they were in Hon. Pius Alile’s office to congratulate him and rejoice with him on his recent appointment. She said that the appointment was well deserved because it is a fitting acknowledgement of Hon. Alile’s hardwork and good deeds.
The highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a big congratulatory card to the Deputy Chief of Staff on behalf of the members and the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Dr. Mrs Mary Alile, the APC National Women Leader, who, incidentally is the wife of Hon. Pius Alile.
