•Says Hon. Dennis Idahosa as he receives the Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities in Government House

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa has said that unlike the immediate past administration, the Monday Okpebholo Government is one that fulfils every promise they make.
He made this statement on Tuesday 17th December, when he played host to the Coalition of Ethnic Nationalities in Edo State, on behalf of the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, in Government House.
Acknowledging the importance of the group and the readiness of the State of to accommodate them, Hon. Dennis Idahosa said: “The different tribes that came together (to form the Ethnic Nationalities Association) contribute to the social and economic development of our dear State. You have come to add value to our State. And we are also going to ensure that the dividends are shared across to you.”
While the Deputy Governor thanked them for taking time to visit Government House, he assured them that they are always welcome because the government exists upon their mandate.
Meanwhile, he assured them that their requests will be submitted to his principal the Governor for appropriate action.
Earlier in his address, the leader of the visiting delegation, Engr. Monday Omoshola recounted the formation of the group, which he said was registered in 2012 and is currently made up of 15 ethnic nationalities. He said that most of them have spent their whole lives in Edo State, across the three senatorial districts, and that they were committed to the growth and development of the State.
Furthermore, Engr. Omoshola spoke glowingly about the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole administration, which he said encouraged them by way of engagement in both the public and civil services. He went on to make on behalf of their members, specific requests, including: empowerment, employment and appointments; loans, particularly to their farmers; fair treatment to members employed into the civil service; and allowed a voice as corporate citizens contributing to the development of Edo State.
In his concluding statement, the leader of the ethnic nationalities eulogized the Deputy Governor for his excellent credentials in his prior positions as a public officer.
