Dear Nigerian Girls.
Today, on the International Day of the Girl Child, I want to tell you that you are capable of achieving greatness. As a lady mechanic, I have broken barriers and defied expectations. I want you to know that you can do the same.
Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re limited by your gender or background. You have the power to create the future you want. Educate yourself, pursue your passions, and never give up.
As girls, you bring unique perspectives and strengths to the table. Your voices matter, and your contributions are crucial to building a better Nigeria.
From a humble beginning to becoming Nigeria’s first female mechanic, my journey shows that with determination and hard work, anything is possible.
Don’t let societal expectations hold you back. You can be a scientist, political leader, an entrepreneur and an innovator.
To Nigerian girls, I urge you all to pursue STEM education, develop skills in trades and vocational training, join leadership programs, and support one another.
Let’s break down barriers and create opportunities for girls to thrive. Let’s build a Nigeria where every girl can reach her full potential. Remember, you are the leaders, innovators, and change-makers of tomorrow. Embrace your power, and let’s shape a brighter future together.
