Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, held a closed-door meeting on Saturday with former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, at Aregbesola’s home in Lagos.

The specifics of their discussion remain unclear at this time. However, sources from the Osun State chapter of the NNPP, who wished to remain unnamed, indicated that they conversed about matters related to national politics.

Recently, Aregbesola’s political group, the Omoluabi Progressives, announced its departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, citing victimization and other issues from the main APC body.

The announcement of this exit has led to rumors regarding the future political moves of the former governor of Osun State and his followers.

Osun NNPP Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, shared images of Kwankwaso and Aregbesola following their meeting.

When asked to comment, Odeyemi stated, “The meeting was held at Aregbesola’s Lagos residence. It demonstrated a mutual commitment to enhancing democratic institutions and promoting national development.

The NNPP currently stands as the third force in Nigeria’s political arena, and the party’s leadership is determined to do everything possible to make Nigeria prosper once again.”
