Prior to the just concluded Edo gubernatorial election that saw Senator Monday Opkebholo and Hon. Dennis Idahosa emerging victorious, it will be recalled that the campaign train of APC Ward 7 Egor visited Iyase street along Uselu Lagos Road. On the occasion, Hon Pius Alile promised to give them Street lights to boost the security situation of the area.
In less than a week after the election, the residents of the street were astonished to see contractors commencing the project of 24 street lights. It was a dream come true.
Thus, it was a convivial atmosphere today Sunday 22nd December 2024 at the commissioning ceremony of the street lights by Hon. Dennis Idahosa, Deputy Governor of Edo State while Hon. Valentina Asuen, CEO DVD Oil and Gas, Community Leaders and others you graced the occasion.
The Deputy Governor expressed his appreciation of the donor, Hon. Pius Alile, for his kind gesture towards humanity. He also promised the members of the community that the Monday Okpebholo administration has a lot of goodies for Edo people, including them.
Hon. Pius Alile, who was obviously elated, said that he is committed to helping communities and the less privileged in the society, and as God gives him provision, he will continue to do so.
