APC WORKING HARD TO GET RIVERS IN 2027 SAYS GADUJE

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the party aims to reclaim Rivers State from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming 2027 elections.

He shared this goal during the inauguration of the state working committee in Port Harcourt, where he was joined by prominent party officials who expressed their backing for the new executive committee.

Victor Giadom, the party’s national South-South vice chairman, emphasized that the APC is preparing to seize control of the state. This inauguration took place amidst questions regarding the legality of the procedures followed. The oath of office was administered by the national legal adviser.

In his closing remarks, the head of the executive committee praised his team’s efforts, while Ganduje reiterated the goal of incorporating Rivers into APC’s ranks, thereby increasing the party’s presence in the region to three states.

Despite the APC’s National Working Committee endorsing the Tony Okocha-led executive, a court ruling that recognizes Emeka Beke as the party chairman in Rivers remains in effect, leaving uncertainty about its implications as the party heads into 2025.
