The Muslim community is in mourning after the death of one of its most esteemed figures, Alhaji Muyideen Bello.
Born in 1940 in Ibadan, Alhaji Bello was highly regarded for his significant teachings and steadfast commitment to Islamic scholarship. The news of his passing was announced on Friday morning by another well-respected Islamic scholar, Alfa Aribidesi from At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah.
Additionally, Alhaji Basit Olarenwaju, a notable cleric and follower of the late Bello, who is also known as an Islamic singer, shared a picture of the 84-year-old scholar accompanied by tearful emojis on his official Facebook page on the same day.
Although details surrounding his death are still unclear, his passing signifies the conclusion of a significant era for a man who dedicated decades to influencing the lives of many through his wisdom, guidance, and spiritual leadership. Local media in Oyo State have also reported on the loss of this revered cleric.
