I want to congratulate Edo State APC for having put together a formidable team of excellent party leaders and members for the task of interacting with the outgoing Edo State Government, and engaging in discussions towards ensuring a seamless transition to and off taking of the Sen. Monday Okpebholo APC Government on November 12, 2024.
It is worth noting that the choice of the membership of the APC Transition Committee is a desirable combination of cognitive experience, intellectualism and enthusiasm. This mixture, no doubt, portends a successful outcome in the interest of the APC and the State, at the end of the Transition Management Exercise.
I also want to congratulate the Chairman of the Transition Committee, a dependable former governor of Edo State, Dr. Pius Odubu and the other valuable members of the APC for having been considered deserving of this auspicious appointment from amongst the multitude of able and loyal party men and women.
As could be seen from my earlier comments, I have absolute confidence in the ability of this committee to deliver to expectation. Therefore, charging them to perform to expectation, would be in a manner of speaking.
Going forward, it is pertinent to suggest that this first appointment of the APC to undertaking a governance related duty as set a foundation of merit, competence, dedication, loyalty and equity for the composition of government as from November 12 when our Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo will begin to make his appointments. We do not have an option if desire a cohesive party and a successful administration.
In the meantime, I want to congratulate the Party once again, for successful milestones achieved thus far even as am full of belief that indeed, with Sen. Monday Okpebholo, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, and a focused State Party Leadership, a new Edo is rising.
