EDO GUBER: INEC EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR PVC COLLECTION BY THREE DAYS

by Tunexreporters

The collection of Permanent Voter Cards in Edo State has been extended for three days by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The extension will start on Friday, September 13 and end on Sunday, September 15. INEC spokesperson Sam Olumekun announced this in a statement. The decision to extend the collection was made after political parties requested it at the Edo governorship election stakeholders meeting, which took place at the Victor Uwaifo’s event centre in Benin City, the capital of Edo state. As a result, there will be three extra days to collect your Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) from Friday, September 13th to Sunday, September 15th, 2024.

You can pick up your cards at any of the 18 Local Government offices in the State between 9am and 5pm every day. The meeting, attended by many candidates and political party leaders, all agreed to ask the Commission to extend the collection period for a few more days so that more voters can get their cards. At the same time, the election official is asking all registered voters in Edo state who haven’t picked up their PVCs to take advantage of the extra time and get them.
