Alile Steps Down in Line with Governor’s Directive, Moves to Pursue Political Ambition

by Tunexreporters

In compliance with the directive of the Edo State Government and in line with the provisions of the amended Electoral Act 2026 recently passed by the National Assembly and assented to by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I have formally tendered my resignation from public service.

The directive requires that any public servant, political appointee, or government functionary seeking to contest in the forthcoming elections must resign at least thirty (30) days before the party primary election to prevent possible litigation.

As a law-abiding citizen who believes strongly in due process and constitutional order, it has become necessary for me to step down in order to pursue my aspiration of representing the good people of Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

I express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, and the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, for the opportunity and privilege to serve the Edo State Government. I remain committed to the continued progress and development of our dear state.
