Governor Okpebholo Nominates Four New Commissioner Designates in Edo State

The Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of four distinguished individuals as Commissioner Designates in the state.

This was disclosed in an official announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., and made available to the public on Thursday.

The nominees include:
1. Hon. (Barr.) Nosa T. Adams
2. Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, JP
3. Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue
4. Engr. Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa

Profiles of the Commissioner Designates

Hon. (Barr.) Nosa T. Adams
A seasoned legal practitioner and political activist, Nosa Adams has built a reputation for public service and leadership across various sectors. He previously served as Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor, and General Manager of Edo State Rubber Estates. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and currently leads Nosa Adams & Co. as Principal Partner.

Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, JP
An accomplished agricultural scientist and business consultant, Musa is a former Executive Chairman of Etsako West Local Government. He holds degrees in Agriculture and Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC–Nigeria). He is also active in the Rotary Club of Auchi Metro and serves as an Eminent Peace Ambassador with the International Association of World Peace Advocates.

Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue
Dr. Akhabue is a chartered accountant, administrator, and community advocate. He previously chaired the Esan West Local Government Council and rose to national prominence as President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON). Internationally, he served as Vice President of the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLGA) and was a Board Member of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF).

Engr. Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa
A respected academic and engineer, Prof. Ikponmwosa is a specialist in Industrial and Production Engineering. With advanced degrees in Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Automation Engineering, he has contributed significantly to research and teaching in Nigerian universities. He is a member of COREN, the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

The nominations have been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
