A major political twist emerged over the weekend as the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), a prominent pro-Tinubu group, unveiled a ₦200 million war chest to fund President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
The group, during its Imo State chapter’s inauguration, pledged the hefty sum for Tinubu’s APC presidential nomination form and campaign logistics—signaling a bold political statement from a region often perceived as opposition stronghold.
Delivering the announcement, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, SERHA’s National Coordinator, said the group’s commitment was rooted in Tinubu’s transformative leadership and recent federal investments in the South-East, including the $3 billion Eastern Rail Line and the newly formed South East Development Commission.
As the group prepares to tour all 2,344 wards in the South-East to mobilize grassroots support, Enwere declared: “We will not back down—Tinubu must complete the South’s eight-year turn.”
Empowerment items worth millions were also distributed at the event, further energizing local support for what could become a defining re-election battle.
