Leaders and members of APC Ward 7, Egor Local Government Chapter, have held a grand reception for Hon. Pius Alile, who is a member of the ward, in celebration of his appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor.
In his remarks, former Egor Local Government Council Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman, and Leader of the Ward, Hon. Desmond Ugbo, said that Hon. Pius Alile’s appointment was well deserved, and that it was a recognition and reward for his hard work and dedication. He said that while they were happy that Egor got the position of Deputy Chief of Staff in the Monday Okpebholo APC Government, members of Egor Ward 7 were particularly favoured because he who has a mother in the kitchen does not go hungry. Still being metaphorical, Hon. Ugbo said that they had absolute confidence in the Deputy Chief of Staff because has has been doing what Napoleon could not do before going into government.
In his response, Hon. Pius Alile said that he was glad that after the election, he was coming home with the good news of his appointment.
He enjoined the members of his ward to thank the Governor and the Deputy Governor for finding him worthy of the position.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief of Staff restated his commitment to driving and executing the policies of government.
Hon. Pius Alile told the audience that his appointment was for all and that it will be used to serve the people. He emphasized the policy direction of government, with the saying that “ a responsible government is for the people irrespective of party affiliation. And that is what the Okpebholo APC government stands for.”
In conclusion, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor reassured them of getting the benefits of government. This drew a rousing applause from the excited party members.
