Human rights attorney Dele Farotimi has been granted bail by an Ekiti State Magistrate Court in a defamation lawsuit brought by Afe Babalola.
Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), shared this news on his X account on Monday.
Sowore noted that Farotimi’s bail is set at N50 million, and he must secure it with a surety of the same amount, who is required to provide real estate as collateral.
The case has been postponed to January 29, 2025.
