“Tonight, we played not just for Galatasaray, but for Turkish football,” said head coach Okan Buruk in a late Thursday statement on the club’s website. “We demonstrated what a Turkish team is capable of against a Premier League opponent. It’s time we let our performance on the field speak for us.”
