The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Edo State Government, Hon. Pius Alile, alongside the National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alile, were warmly received by the Hon. Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Godfrey Nnaji, at the official inauguration of the Senior Citizens’ Initiative Programme held in Enugu, the Coal City.
The event provided a strategic platform to engage with the people of the South-East, particularly women, on the need to work in synergy with the Federal Government to advance national development. Discussions also centered on mobilization and strategic planning ahead of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 political agenda.
Speaking at the occasion, Hon. He described the initiative as a timely intervention aimed at recognizing and empowering senior citizens while also strengthening grassroots political participation.
