The Edo State Young Lawyers Forum, led by its Coordinator Barrister Peter Erekose, today paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Dr. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun, Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government Area, to present him with the Distinguished Merit Award
This prestigious recognition comes in appreciation of his exceptional leadership and developmental strides in Egor LGA, achieved with the support of Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo.
In his response, Hon. Eguakun expressed deep gratitude, stating that the award will inspire him to do more for the people. He emphasized that governance should go beyond basic amenities, humorously envisioning a future where “Egor LGA will be talking about high-tech projects like sending people to space!”
He also charged the young lawyers to uphold justice, reminding them that “the judiciary is the last hope of the common man.” He prayed for continued collaboration between Egor LGA and the Young Lawyers Forum for the greater good.
