The Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Hon. Pius Alile, has commended Hon. Kevin Eguakun, Executive Chairman, Egor Local Government Council, for aligning his programme with President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” and Governor Monday Okpebholo’s “SHINE Agenda”.
Hon. Alile made this remark at the celebration of Hon. Kelvin Eguakun’s one hundred days in office, which was held at the multipurpose hall at the council’s secretariat.
Speaking further, the Edo State Deputy Chief of Staff said that it was gratifying to note that the Council Chairman, besides his great commitment to building and maintaining infrastructure, was also attending to human capital development.
Hon. Pius Alile said that the Council Chairman was by his works laying a good foundation for the development of the local government area, given his achievements in just a hundred days. The Deputy Chief of Staff assured him of his personal support while also assuring of the state government’s recognition of what was being done by the Council Chairman to improve infrastructure and human capital development in Egor Local Government Area.
Hon. Alile advised the Council Chairman not to be bothered by criticism but to see it as a means towards reflecting on his actions and redirecting his focus.
The Deputy Chief of Staff told Hon. Kelvin Eguakun to be conscious of prioritising the wellbeing of those under his jurisdiction, as this would earn him their prayers and support. He concluded his speech by saying that it is important to perform for the sake of posterity.
