The full list of subjects in Nigeria’s newly introduced school curriculum has surfaced online after the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, shared it on Wednesday.

In a post on his X handle, Olusegun displayed an image purportedly outlining the new subjects for Junior and Senior Secondary Schools. According to him, the new curriculum will take effect from September 2025.

Unveiled by the Federal Government on Sunday, the curriculum makes digital literacy and basic entrepreneurship compulsory at the junior level, while programming, artificial intelligence, and new foreign languages are included at the senior level.

Subjects in the new curriculum include:

Junior Secondary (JSS 1–3): Mathematics, English, Integrated Science, Digital Literacy & Coding, Social Studies, Languages (mother tongue & foreign), Creative Arts, and Physical & Health Education.

Senior Secondary (SS 1–3): Advanced Mathematics, English & Communication, Sciences, Technology & Innovation (programming, AI, cybersecurity), Social Sciences, Languages, Creative Arts, Physical & Health Education, and Research & Project Work.
