Three Witch doctors in Anambra State—Chidozie Nwangwu, commonly known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Ki, Onyebuchi Okocha, referred to as “Onyeze Jesus,” and Ekene Igboekweze, called “Eke Hit”—have been ordered to remain in custody by a state High Court.
The healers appeared before Justice Jude Obiorah on Friday, facing allegations of creating protective charms for criminals and participating in money rituals.
This arraignment comes about a month after their arrest and detention.
Despite the charges being read to them, the defendants pleaded not guilty.
Justice Onuorah directed that they be held at the state facility, with the case scheduled for adjournment until April 11, 2025.
