As it has been ascertained that Nigerians are the most religious people on earth is a testament to behold especially on the lives of people that seek divine face of God.
… putting God first in whatever and wherever they found themselves in a position of authority for divine directions.
This was the case today as the acting Chairman of Egor local Hon.(Dr) Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin attends his first quarterly prayers,praises and worship fellowship in his council secretariat today 31th January 2025.
According to the Chairman of NULGE who organised the programme ,Comrade Humphrey Aighobahi when interviewed by the CPS about the significance of such religious programme,…he responded by saying that programme of this magnitude was necessary by the council and the entire staff to seek the divine face of almighty,..who’s supreme in all things through his mercy and grace upon his children.
Comrade Aighobahi also asserted that since Egor people are godly people hence the necessity to engaging in such a religious excerise to pray to our God almighty for protections,provisions and directions.
After the introduction of the entire staff of the council was done before the acting Chairman,.. for familiarity and acknowledgeable of his staff.
Hon.Eguakun remarked with his sincere appreciations and gratitudes to God almighty for the divine grace and opportunity accorded him to render his little quota in serving Egor people..he especially thanked the entire staff for their unalloyed loyalties, supports, sacrifice made and their endurance with him on this enormous task ahead of him.
The Chairman nonetheless admonished the entire staff not be wary especially about their salaries which according to him had assure them of impending receipts of a credit alert any moment from now .
He however enumerated some of the hitches,rancours and challenges encountered..explaining that it’s wasnt the fault of the Council but state government which has been resolved,.but hammered on hardwork,steadfastness and productivity from the staff … saying “all hands must be on deck through hardwork faith and believe.
Hon.Eguakun seized the opportunity to encourage harmonious working relationships and unity amongst the staffs to move Egor to a higher height ,..as he had continue to solicited their supports and cooperations ,here the Chairman quoted from Holy Bible book of John, “when Lord Jesus administered to his disciples quoting”Let not your heart be troubled ,but believe in me”.. saying,though there are time of famine but when positivism comes ….,no one may remember again the time of the famine.’
Hon.Eguakun reiterated his remark by promising much celebrations under his leadership that …by the grace of God the Council will witness more House warmings/openings,,more child births and marriages,windows of opportunities to the staff of Egor local government council through his open door policy ,..all.inclusive government for all and above all ability and grace from God almighty
…on concluding the prayer fellowship,the HOLGA Boss,Mrs Oboh Evbi Amenaghawon also reiterated collaborative efforts as Chairman of the council had earlier said that with unity ,sacrifice and hard-work,there’s nothing that the council can not attained through their individual input from all staff .
Those in attendance of the programme included the vice chairman of the Council,Hon..Preston Eghe Amayo,.Egor.LG secretary,.Hon..Zion O. Evbuomwan, Legislative House leader Hon.Nosakhare Izegbuwa ,House Majority Leader Rt Hon.Stella Ogida,..HODs,and other Principal Officers of the council.
