The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that more than 2.68 million Nigerians have completed their registration in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
In an update shared on its official X platform, the commission disclosed that 1,576,137 individuals finalised their pre-registration online, while another 1,109,588 completed their enrolment through in-person biometric capture at various INEC centres nationwide.
Osun State remains at the top of the registration chart with 208,357 newly registered voters, followed by Kano with 159,669 and Sokoto with 152,650.
Other states with notable registration figures include Imo (145,561), Borno (123,835), Lagos (123,484), and Jigawa (116,246).
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) also recorded a strong showing with 106,855 completed registrations, while Kogi (103,750) and Zamfara (101,511) followed closely. Katsina registered 98,968, with Delta, Kaduna, Ogun, Kebbi, Niger, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers also posting impressive numbers.
Meanwhile, states with lower participation so far include Enugu (19,275), Ondo (17,542), Cross River (16,822), and Abia (16,691).
INEC reminded eligible citizens that the first phase of the nationwide CVR will close on December 10, 2025, urging all unregistered Nigerians to utilise the remaining days to complete their registration.
