I’ve Helped More People Than Olamide, Davido, Wizkid – Portable

by Tunexreporters

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred debate once again after claiming he has offered more genuine support to people in the Nigerian music scene than industry heavyweights such as Olamide, Don Jazzy, Wizkid, and Davido.

According to the Zazu crooner, his generosity extends beyond music, reaching everyday Nigerians and the less privileged. He criticised many A-list celebrities for distancing themselves from their fans, saying they hardly acknowledge or promote those who support their work. Portable insisted he stands out because he regularly reposts videos and interacts with fans on social media.

He further alleged that upcoming artistes often struggle to collaborate with big stars even when they can afford it, whereas he assists people without charge.

Portable explained that “real help” includes offering shelter, food, clothing, and financing a person’s first studio session — not just engaging in business transactions. He argued that most artistes who claim to be helping others are simply running business ventures.

He added that some celebrities exploit young talents and later label them “ungrateful” when they choose independence, describing such behaviour as unfair and self-serving.
