The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that a significant National Executive Council (NEC) meeting is set for July 24 to select a new national chairman.
This meeting comes in response to the resignation of former chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, which occurred last Friday. Meanwhile, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, the Deputy National Chairman (North), has been designated as Acting National Chairman and officially took on the role on Monday.
After an emergency NWC meeting at the party’s national headquarters, Deputy National Secretary Barrister Festus Fuanter confirmed the date for the NEC meeting and mentioned that a formal notification has already been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
