The National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mary Alile Idele, has paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Owamagbe Asuen, the Chairman of the Edo State Forestry Commission, in a move aimed at strengthening party relationships and encouraging inclusive development in the state’s environmental sector.
During the visit, which took place in Benin City, Dr. Alile congratulated Hon. Asuen on his recent appointment and lauded his efforts toward reforming forestry practices in Edo State. She noted that the forestry sector holds immense potential not just for environmental sustainability but also for empowering local communities—especially women—through afforestation programs, eco-entrepreneurship, and green job initiatives.
According to her, “It is important that we support leaders like Hon. Asuen who are committed to transforming our natural resources into sustainable assets. Women must be given a front-row seat in this transformation.”
