The Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Hon. Dr. Pius Alile, on April 12, 2025, chaired the 31st Anniversary Celebration of the Catholic Women Organisation, Nigeria, Benin Ecclesiastical Province (CWONBEP), which held at the St. Paul Minor Seminary, Benin City, under the ministration of His Grace, Most Reverend Dr. Augustine Obiora Ajubeze, Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Benin City.
In his brief remarks, Hon. Dr. Pius Alile said he was happy to identify with the iconic Catholic Church, and through the Catholic Women Organisation, which invited him to be the chairman of the auspicious celebration.
The Deputy Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, thereafter, made handsome financial donations to the organisation and the church building project, respectively.
Hon. Dr. Pius Alile is a renowned philanthropist who has over the years been engaged in humanitarian and community development projects such as the awards of bursaries and scholarships, donation of economic empowerment tools to the poor and underprivileged, donation of food palliatives to individuals and households, donation of water boreholes to communities, grading of roads, provision of jobs, among others.
