The Chairman of Egor local government council Hon.(Dr) Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin personally supevised the clearing, cleaning and general maintenance of Referral Medical Centre within the Council premises today 29th January 2025.
The Chairman inspected the Health Care Facilities alongside some of his HODs and other Principal Officers from the Council.
Also present at the Medical Centre was Dr Iraoyah Gideon Edeki,Medical Officer of Health that would manage the operational Service of the centre.
Having acknowledged the importance of the facilities as it was built by the former House of Representatives member Representing Egor/Ikpoba Okha Federal Constituency ….being a Constituency Project to the Council Area.
The Acting Chairman of the Council ,Hon.(Dr) Eguakun I.Kelvin has commenced revamping the councils Primary health Care sector.
According to the Chairman of the Council,..he did promise to make health Care service closer to the people in the council area hence the need to revamp it and commence operations immediately.
Hon.Eguakun further elaborated on the necessity of starting operations immediately within the reach of the grassroots people as he had already promised earlier .
Physically present on the site of the medical facilities, health workers/ sanitation personnel were also seen helping to removes the heaps of dump refuse,dried leaves and rotten plants to make the premises having a clean look.
When the CPS and his team interviewed the Medical Officer that is set to manage the Centre, he enthusiatically responded affirmatively his willingness to hit the ground running .
Dr Iraoyah Gideon Edeki also complimented the council Chairman for coming up with this commendable ideas to have 24 hours accessible medical service delivery to the people in the council.
He further deliberated on collaborative efforts and harmoniously working relationships with federal,state governments and private sectors to support the medical facilities with modern equipment and medical personnel to discharge their work more effectively and efficiently.
