There was an unscheduled visit by some Edolites and friends of the Vice chairman,Egor local government Area, Hon.Preston Eghe Amayo from a diaspora to the council secretariat today 28th January 2025.,Uselu,Benin city
The August visitors came with an award of excellence to their long time friend ,who is the present vice chairman of the council in appreciation of his impactful leadership to the people of the area.
HON.Preston Eghe Amayo who was the recipient of the award received the coveted bronze award… sculpted face of Queen Idia of Benin kingdom,..proudly beaming with smiles appreciated his long time friends who came down from a diaspora to appreciate his little effort through this award ..
Responding to the award,Hon.Preston Amayo thanked his friends and inturn ushered them before the council Chairman,Hon.Dr Eguakun..and introduced his two friends to his boss.,amongst those he introduced was the leader of the committee of friends as Amb. Osazuwa Omede,CEO.,Osazuwa Omede Multimedia,..and Sir Paul Ofoni,Project Consultant to the Foundation.
Hon.Amayo presented the award of excellence to his hard- working boss… stating that he had dedicated the award to the Chairman and the council in general,..praising that this coveted award is the beginning of good things to come to Egor local government council,..Benin city.
In his remarks,the chairman Hon.Dr.Eguakun expressed his delight on seeing his vice friends coming back to their base,..expressing willingness to partner with them in developing Egor council area and improve the social welfare of the people thereof.
According to Hon.Eguakun who asserted that he had been having cordial relationships with most Edolites in the diaspora,..stated that it’s height time they promoted Edo Socio-Cultural Renaissance and take Egor council areas before the world.
The Chairman also admonished them to use their little resources in their disposal to improve socio-economic welfare of their people…and request them to present their proposal on how the council could collaborate with them through Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
The august visitors responded with hilarious smiles and thanked the Chairman and their friend, (vice chairman) for the warmth reception accorded to them.,.. promising subsequent beneficial visits with more friends/Egor indigenes to the Council.
