Hon. (Dr.) Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin, Hon Pius Alile with legioneers led the people of Egor Local Government Area in a memorial celebration of Nigeria’s historic Armed Forces Remembrance Day on Wednesday, 15th January, 2025 at the Council Secretariat, Uselu, Benin City.
At the occasion of emblem launching, Hon. (Dr.) Eguakun Ighodalo Kelvin, in his address welcomed everyone present at the grand finale of the year 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in commemoration of the heroic deeds of the Nigerian Armed Forces, who fought gallantly for the liberation of our father land (Nigeria). He expressed his appreciation and gratitude the gallant soldiers still alive while he prayed for the continued repose of those who died in the course of the liberation struggle.
Present at the ceremony were Egor Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Preston Eghe Amayo; Leader of Egor Legislative Arm, Hon. Nosa Izevbuwa; Secretary to local government; Hon. Zion Evbuomwan; HOLGA of Egor LG, Mrs. Oboh Evbu Amenaghawon; and members of Nigerian Legionnaires who made the ceremony colourful, successful and remarkable.
Others present were political leaders amongst whom are Egor APC Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Iyase; CEO of Playhouse, Chief Osahon Airhunmwunde.
The ceremony ended gracefully with much appreciation of Egor LG Chairman, Hon Dr. Eguakun Ighodalo Kelvin for his supportive role towards the success of the ceremony
