For the 2nd time in 3 days Egor council boss met with council roadmakers.
This strategic meeting the second in 3 days speaks volumes of the position the chairman has placed road makers in the scheme of things in the council.
At the meeting the boss told them( roadmakers) to be proud of their jobs as it is a noble one because cleanliness they say, is next to Godliness. He said their work will impact positively on the quality of life of inhabitants of Egor.
He admonished them to take their jobs serious.
Speaking further the chairman in company of the council’s secretary Dr Zion Evbuomwan vowed to improve their lot. He promised to get some of his friends to support the roadmakers in the area of logistics and funding of their operations, amid cheers. It was at this moment Hon Eguakun the council boss unveiled the new working gear with the inscription ” EGOR ROADMAKERS, KEEP EGOR CLEAN”, to which there was a deafening applause for the chair and his exco.
When the amiable chairman gave them opportunity to say something, the roadmakers thanked the boss for his proactiveness and passionately made pleas for more tools and at least a minibus vehicle for movement of same pledging to give their best; a move the Chairman responded in the affirmative, amid more cheers.
Meanwhile, the Chairman took delivery of operational tools for the road makers the previous day, Tuesday, barely 24 hours before this 2nd convergence.
The meet ended with prayers and chairman’s handshakes with all the roadmakers present.
