Renowned Italian designer and founder of the Armani brand, Giorgio Armani, has died at the age of 91. His company confirmed the news in a statement released on Thursday.
“With profound sadness, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and enduring source of inspiration, Giorgio Armani,” the fashion house said.
Widely celebrated as a global symbol of Italian elegance, Armani blended visionary creativity with strong business instincts, building a fashion empire with an annual revenue of about €2.3 billion.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, cited by Newsweek, Armani’s fortune was valued at approximately $11.1 billion as of September 2025.
