President Bola Tinubu announced that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would welcome Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, if he chooses to join the party. This invitation was extended during the inauguration of the Arterial Road N16 to Arterial Road N20 and other roads in the Katampe District.
While acknowledging that Wike is not currently a member of the APC, Tinubu praised the collaboration of the FCT Administration in executing the project. “We have Nyesom Wike with us. He’s not yet part of our party, but if he decides to register with the progressives, we will gladly welcome him. Together, we’ll celebrate the challenges we overcome,” the President remarked.
Tinubu emphasized that the project highlights his administration’s dedication to transformation and is based on principles of reform and regeneration. He underscored the importance of infrastructure, stating that it cannot thrive without quality roads. Tinubu reiterated his commitment to investing in roads, renewable energy, healthcare, education, and digital infrastructure.
“This project is more than just a new road; it symbolizes our dedication to urban transformation, part of our Renewed Hope Agenda. Since taking office in May 2023, our actions reflect a focus on reform and regeneration, and today we see clear evidence of that philosophy at work.

We understand that the nation’s advancement is tied to the quality of its infrastructure, which connects individuals, cities, and industries. Industrialization cannot thrive without proper roads.
