There was an executive meeting chaired by the Council chairman of Egor local government council Rt Hon (Dr)Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin with various heads of departments in his office at administrative headquarter of the Council,today 28th January 2025, Uselu,Benin city.
In response from the chairman when interviewed by his CPS,…he gave a comprehensive analysis and details of the minutes from the EXCO meeting which was fruitful and applauded by all the attendees HODs
Quoting the chairman who first and foremost introduced himself thus…my name is .Hon(Dr)Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin,.I’m the current acting Chairman of Egor local government council Uselu ,Benin city..,we held an EXCO meeting today to brainstorm about the work ethics, challenges and optimisms in the council.
The Chairman stated that they had all extensively deliberated about the previous meetings they had,..based on three cardinal objectives and targets to embark upon under his leadership.,.like areas of challenges,..areas to improve upon and amongst these like internally generated Revenue (IGR), Agricultural Settlement and food sufficiency to the grass root people in the council area.
HON.Egukun also reiterated his resolves to pursue and attract Health Care Facilities to the Council under his watch, together with all his principal staff,HODs,NULGEs..and all the major stakeholders.
He also deliberated on the improvement of the Sanitary condition, sanitation and cleaning of the environment and to actively engaged with other beneficial socio-economic and political values in the council.
Mr chairman further stated that by the sufficient grace of God upon his life and ability given,… he intends to run an all inclusive administrations that would be accessible by all and sundry .. promising to take Egor local government council to an enviable height as the best amongst the rest in the state .
The chairman though enumerated some of the challenges experience by the council , .he nevertheless expressed optimism to work things out through the delegated tasks mandated him to accomplish by the hard working Executive Governor of the state ,.Senator Monday Okpebholo.
When further asked about the Council Allocation…,,Dr Eguakun expressed delight in working with his boss,the executive Governor of Edo State Senator Monday Okpebholo discribing him as a humble man with few words,… and with much actions.,stated that though the council was yet to receive the allocation, hopefully,the much expected allocation will hit the councils account any moment from now .
Hon.Eguakun pointed out the promises made to all the councils across the state by the Governor to have harmonious working conditions and relationship with all council chairmen,..since they’re closer to the grass roots,..he further stated that the Governor is a civil servant friendly,…that wants the best for all the Edolites .
The Chairman concluded the interview by admonishing all staff and non staff to harmoniously work together in unity to make Egor the best performing council area in the state .
Mr chairman nevertheless seize the medium to promise the workers in the council not to be wary,that under his administration, their salaries would be paid on time and as at when due,.. consequently all would be happy.
