Governor Monday Okpebholo directed that all stake holders in Edaiken Market crises who include Mr. Godwin Omoregie, Mr. Terry Ebomwonyi and Sunny Erengbo shield their sword and step aside, for peace and security sake, from Edaiken Market running and security architecture pending further directive.
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo in line with the objective of harmonious, peaceful coexistence and effective security prioritisation of the state with the current turbulence by the traders of Edaiken Market, directed that all stake holders involved in the case step aside from the market Chairmanship or Acting Chairmanship position and security architecture of the market.
Secretary to Edo State Government, Barr. Musa Ikhilor who spoke on behalf of Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo directed that all stake holders laying claims and counter claims to Edaiken Market Chairmanship position either as Chairman or Acting Chairman of Edaiken Market Traders as well as security handler step aside from the running of the market and thereby allow only Egor Local Government Acting Chairman, Hon Dr Eguakun Ighodaro kelvin take full charge of the market adminstration. Further more, the governor gave a directive that the Acting Chairman of Egor Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin henceforth takes charge of Edaiken Market running including provision of internal security in the Market.
In response to the governor’s directive, Hon. Dr. Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin appreciated in thanks the directive of the governor of Edo State with a promise to always work harmoniously with Governor Monday Okpebholo and to swiftly discharge the assigned directive and further appealed to Mr. Godwin Omoregie; Mr. Terry Ebomwonyi and Sunny Erengbo who were the major contenders in the crisis resulting in protest and insecurity of Edaiken Market and environ to peacefully accepted the directive of Edo State Governor and step aside as said for peace to reign in Edaiken Market pending alternative directive from the governor.

(Dr.) Eguakun Ighodaro Kelvin; Vice Chairman, Hon. Preston Eghe Amayo; Secretary to Egor LG, Hon. Zion O. Evbuomwan; Omoregie Godwin; Terry Ebomwonyi; Mr.Sunny Erengbo; Patience Osale; and host of others George Enofe.
