Well-known Nigerian activist, VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, has revealed that the famous music producer Don Jazzy donated N100 million to his nonprofit organization.

VDM announced this on October 17 through his verified Instagram account, expressing his astonishment and gratitude.

Previously, VDM had voiced concerns after an anonymous donation of N100 million was made to his NGO account, increasing the total funds to N170 million.

In an earlier post, he had sought help from Nigerians and Zenith Bank, clarifying that he was not implicated in any fraudulent behavior and was unaware of the donor’s identity.

Despite reaching out to various individuals, no one came forward to claim the significant donation.

Subsequently, VDM disclosed that he received a message from Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, confirming that he was the source of the donation. The message stated:

“Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”

Still in disbelief, VDM shared a video displaying the message and the transaction receipt.

He expressed profound gratitude for Don Jazzy’s kindness, mentioning that he never anticipated such a significant contribution from the music star.

VDM explained that the NGO was created to assist children in public primary schools who lack access to quality education.

He stressed that a solid educational foundation is vital for these children’s future and that the initiative also aims to create job opportunities for graduates who will serve as teachers.

The program intends to tackle the rising number of graduates settling for jobs such as POS operations and selling bedsheets.

The NGO was launched on July 12, 2024, and by July 13, VDM had already secured N21 million. In under a week, his total funds reached N170 million, largely due to Don Jazzy’s donation.

In an emotional video, VDM thanked Don Jazzy and offered prayers for him, captioning it:

“This is the person that sent my NGO the 100 million naira: TILL NOW I CAN’T BELIEVE IT… ONE HUNDRED MILLION NAIRA left an account just like that. As you have supported this cause to improve basic education for our public schools’ children, may God grant you and your household long life and good health. I truly have so much to say to you, but I’m at a loss for words to express the joy within me. GOD BLESS YOU, BROS. Please join me in praying for him. ❤️ #RATELMOVEMENT.”
