The Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to kick off its nationwide electronic membership registration drive “in full force.”

Speaking on Tuesday after a facility inspection at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, Uzodinma was accompanied by Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State. He expressed satisfaction with the state of readiness for the digital initiative aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots support.

“We came to assess the progress of the e-registration project. After inspecting the facilities, we are impressed with the level of preparedness. We are confident the process will commence fully any moment now,” Uzodinma told reporters.

He also gave an update on President Bola Tinubu’s directive for the construction of a new APC national secretariat, confirming that work is already underway.

Commenting on the appointment of Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as the new APC National Chairman, Uzodinma said the party is pleased with the decision. “Look at him — tall, energetic, intelligent — our party is thrilled with the choice. He embodies what we’ve been seeking,” he said.

In response to criticism from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which warned that continued APC rule could be disastrous, Uzodinma dismissed the remarks. “That’s their opinion. As far as I’m concerned, Nigeria has only two parties: the APC and the rest,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dr. Yilwatda emphasized the unity within the APC and its strong relationship with the Progressive Governors Forum. “We are a model of internal democracy and unity. Our e-registration initiative will help us strengthen our base, conduct research, and better understand our support across the country,” he noted.
