President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, on the occasion of his 9th anniversary on the ancient throne of Benin Kingdom.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu joined the government and people of Edo State, the Benin Traditional Council, and the royal family in celebrating the revered monarch’s nearly a decade of dedicated service to his people and the nation at large.
The President praised the Oba for his unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and social harmony within his kingdom, as well as his strong advocacy against human trafficking and illegal migration, especially among the youth.
He further commended Oba Ewuare II’s promotion of cultural renaissance and traditional values, alongside his remarkable efforts toward the repatriation of stolen African artefacts from Western countries, describing these as enduring contributions to Nigeria’s cultural identity.
As the monarch marks nine years on the throne of his forefathers, President Tinubu lauded his visionary leadership and steadfast dedication to preserving Benin’s rich heritage for future generations.
The President prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the Oba, wishing him long life, good health, and more fruitful years in service to his people and the nation.
